About Kent Life Magazine

Kent Life was launched in 1962 and our core values have remained constant over the course of nearly five decades.

We are an aspirational magazine for a local audience and aim to reflect our readers’ passion for their county and the people and places that make us proud to live in the Garden of England, home to some of the finest local produce and producers in the country.

With its landscape of rolling hills and wooded valleys, lavender fields, orchards, vineyards and oast houses, not forgetting its breathtaking coastline, one of the longest and most varied in the country, Kent never fails to delight and surprise.

England’s oldest county also boasts some of the finest historic attractions in the UK – from Canterbury and Chaucer’s pilgrims to the Medway Towns and the Dickens connection, to the maritime adventures that have shaped Kent, from the Roman invasion to Admiral Lord Nelson and the Second World War.

Kent also rejoices in some of the best-loved great houses and gardens, from Hever Castle and its famous connections with Henry VIII, to Sissinghurst and the enduring influence of Vita Sackville-West, Knole with its ancient deer park and Churchill’s beloved Chartwell.

But Kent is also bang up to date, with leading-edge galleries and theatres, Michelin-starred restaurants and entertaining nightlife. Its shopping is second to none, and of course the capital and Europe are both just a short hop away.

If you are visiting or thinking of moving to other counties in Britain the Archant Life portfolio of premium magazines can be enjoyed in most areas. Archant Life is the largest publisher of regional magazines in the UK.
